Direction to take

After spending the last 2 days going over everyone on the roster with a fine tooth comb, I'm pretty confident saying were a young team with a little bit of upside, the old manager moved the majority of the prospects to the big league level for some reason making them arbitration eligible a little sooner than I would hope but we'll get thru that easily with a little planning.
Good News first is that we have about 10 starters who are 28 and younger who are legit starting pitchers with various degrees of potential

We have enough of a relief corps that can get by with a key free agent signing with future prospects developing, no real issue with the pitching on this team, patience will be needed but I believe I have enough to compete IF I can correct the biggest issue on this team, its defense.
The D will be my biggest challenge in getting this team steered in the right direction, I don't feel comfortable with our current SS Paul Saitou (saitou in another position, yes)and feel we don't have a centerfielder that's near being big league ready so we'll have to get creative either by a free agent signing, trade or thru the draft, with no TYPE A or TYPE B free agents leaving our team we'll basically get the 1st pick and who knows where that 2nd one will end up being, or IF we'll even have a 2nd if we do indeed go the free agent route.
